Lida Frankel

Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Lida provides financial oversight and direction to Friends of Pink Belt Mission. Lida graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Economics and an MBA in Accounting and Finance. She started her career as a CPA with a public accounting firm and worked for several multi-national organizations, spending her last 12 years as the Senior Director of Accounting for a medical device manufacturer that was acquired by Abbott. She

collaborated with accounting teams in Europe, Asia, and South America.

Lida is a native Southern Californian and enjoys serving her community. While living in Los Angeles, she volunteered for Food Forward, an organization which fights hunger by gleaning produce and bringing it to hunger relief agencies. Since moving to the Coachella Valley, she continues to fight food insecurity by gleaning produce within her community and taking it to local food banks.

Lida feels a special connection to the Pink Belt cause because she and her daughter participated in martial arts and self-defense classes for many years, progressing through the colored belts. She knows the kind of commitment involved in the discipline, and the self-esteem that it can bring. After seeing the Pink Belt documentary, Lida knew she had to get involved with this organization and is very proud that she will be helping to empower so many young girls and women!
